My fiancé and I have been having trouble thinking of the best wedding motif to use on our wedding day. I like the colour bright yellow while he likes the color maroon. Combining them together doesn’t look good in the eyes. We have agreed to almost everything about the wedding including the date and the place, Guthrie Castle in Scotland and plan to have it in their Walled Garden where green is the dominant colour.
We know that not agreeing with the colour of our wedding motif will give us great problems as the decorations, invitations and theme will also be affected. We asked the coordinators of Guthrie Castle and they were so helpful in giving us ideas. They asked us when we were planning to have our wedding and we said that we would love to have it in the middle of autumn and then they asked us what kind of theme would we like and we decided to have it in medieval period. They then suggested that we can use golden yellow and maroon for the theme as they would accentuate the color of spring and bring out the best in our decorations. Both my fiancé and I agreed on it and told them to be the ones who would prepare for the food as well that would complement our chosen theme.
Come our wedding day, the place was so perfect that I couldn’t help falling in love with it and my fiancé more for exerting such effort in giving me a wonderful wedding. The effect of the falling leaves swaying with the wind was so dramatic that everyone who attended the wedding couldn’t help but cry. We were so deeply touched with how everything went and even the food that was served was so scrumptious and theme-oriented that everyone had a good time and our couple friends were also asking us how we got the idea of the place, the theme and they shared that they were planning to have the wedding held there are well. Even the rooms that we reserved for the night was also decorated and similar to our wedding theme and motif so even after the wedding itself, the feel of the ceremony was still present in the rooms of our guests as well as ours!
I believe that even if we chose a different color, Guthrie Castle would always be the perfect place to show the different shades of love of the couple who patronize it.
